All we ever wanted, all we ever needed…. is another Depeche Mode album!
The boys behind ’80s pop-electro are hard at work in their studio musical laboratory, recording tunes for an elusive ‘upcoming’ album!
Dave Gahan took a break from the harmonious chaos to reveal:
“We’ve got more songs than we’ve ever had to work on at this stage… I think it’s going to be a more direct record, a punchier record. That’s all I can say at this point; with Depeche Mode, anything can change through the course of making a record.”
So when will this mysterious musical treat grace our eagerly awaiting ears??
Gahan continues:
“It’s a long process… We’re probably not finished til the end of the year, and we’re talking about touring next year. But right now it’s like a science lab here. We’re working in two rooms at the moment, just full of electronics and guitars and everybody’s getting very creative. It’s like a laboratory.”
Sounds like some freaky, futuristic fanfare to us… we want IN!
We can’t wait to reach out and touch hear whatever comes of these cacophonous sessions!
