Tyler Clementi's Roommate Released From Jail After Just 20 Days

Dharun Ravi released from jail
So much for 30 days in jail.
Dharun Ravi, the 20-year-old Rutgers student connected to the death of Tyler Clementi in 2010, is a free man after serving just 20 days of his 30-day jail sentence.
He was convicted of invasion of privacy and bias intimidation last month for filming Clementi being intimate with another man, which unfortunately led to the college student’s suicide.
Ravi was released 10 days early because of good behavior and now faces 300 hours of community service on top of his 3-year probation.
We’re not exactly thrilled by his mild punishment. Considering his actions resulted in the loss of a human life, 20 days in jail isn’t even a slap on the wrist — it’s a flick!
There’s nothing we can do about it though, so we just hope Ravi learned his lesson and will NEVER disrespect someone like this again!
