The first look at our next Disney princess is finally here!

The Mouse House first teased Moana months ago, but now they’ve finally given us a sneak peek (above) at the distinct look of the upcoming animated film on Twitter!
And an estimated release date as well! They tweeted:

According to Disney’s synopsis, Moana tells the story of Moana Waialiki, a young Polynesian princess with a knack for sea exploration, who sets sail in search of a fabled island:
“During her incredible journey, she teams up with her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui, to traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breathtaking underworlds and ancient folklore.”
Sounds so unique and exciting! We can’t wait for a better look!
