Disney's 'The Little Mermaid LIVE' - Twitter HILARIOUSLY Reacts! PLUS, Full Performances!

Disney‘s The Little Mermaid LIVE premiered Tuesday night, and Twitter kept it cordial with a measured amount of constructive criticism.

Nah, we’re just kiddin’ — they crashed an entire ship into it like the monstrosity it was! LOLz!

To be fair, there were some highlights, like some of the mermaid effects and of course her majesty Queen Latifah as Ursula — something everyone knew would be amazing!

But fans were not exactly pleased when they learned this was not really a production telling the story but the animated film with a few celebs stepping in to pinch hit on the songs.

As for the characters we did get, well, some of the costumes and *shudder* puppets just were not it. You’ll see what we mean.
