Perhaps.
As of now, we only know the head honchos are “discussing” things, but the name that is coming to the forefront of the race to replace Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America is George Stephanopoulos.
A solid choice, but there is concern in giving George the second hour of GMA, which is though of as being “heavy on lighter fare and consumer segments.” Kind of a waste of George’s intelligence. (No offense to you, Diane.)
Regardless, if George does get on board, be prepared to see a lot of changes to the morning show. We bet if he is nice to Diane and shares his secrets about World News, she’ll spill her deets on getting on at GMA.
Share, share, newscasters.
