Clearly Dolly Parton isn’t drinking the hateraid when it comes to her unofficial goddaughter Miley Cyrus!
The country superstar is in full support of Miles embracing her new found tongue and twerk image tactics, but thinks she’s taking “drastic measures” to grow up fast!
In a new interview, the Queen of Dollywood is dishing about her “fairy godmother” status with the popstar, and thoughts on Miley—post controversial VMA performance:
“I admire her, I respect her, she’s smart, and she’s so talented. And Billy Ray and me will never say nothing bad about Miley ’cause Miley obviously knew what she was doing. She knew she had to go to drastic measures to let people leave her alone, ’cause nobody was going to let her grow up.”
And as far as being a beacon of advice for the uber famous singer, Dolly thinks she’ll handle herself just fine:
“I’m hoping that she always makes the right moves. It’s her choice. We all have our own choices to make.”
We love that these two always have each other’s backs!
