Donald Trump Did A Fake McDonald's Photoshoot To Say He 'Worked' There

So let us get this straight. Donald Trump was so jealous of Kamala Harris‘ working class story of being a McDonald’s employee in her teens that he decided to prove he could do it, too?

That would be ludicrous enough. We mean, it’s a hard day’s work, but it’s famously entry level, especially working the fries, right? This felt a lot like when he bragged about passing the cognitive function test. Y’all remember that? He was treating it like he did well on an IQ test, meanwhile that thing was to make sure he didn’t have brain damage?

Anyway, Trump decided to prove he could work the World Famous Fries, too. He boasted about the event at a rally last month, saying:

“I will have worked longer and harder at McDonald’s than she did if I do that even for half an hour.”

And he did this by… setting up a staged photo op at a closed McDonald’s.

Yes, this proof of Trump’s working class bona fides is, like everything else about the man, a total lie. While right-leaning outlets are happy to report about Trump surprising Mickie D’s customers at the window, that never actually happened. Because there were no customers. The restaurant was closed.

According to NBC News, the Feasterville, Pennsylvania franchise shut down for Sunday’s event. The “customers” were all handpicked by the “local Trump campaign team.” It was all a photo op for the friendly press outlets who were invited to watch.

According to multiple accounts, the fake customers didn’t even bother giving orders for Trump to fulfill, they just “received whatever Trump gave them.” Sounds like his supporters, alright.

Look, we guess this is all kind of obvious. Like, of course he was never going to actually do any work at McDonald’s or serve actual people. We just find it hilarious any actual news outlet would publish stories with headlines about him “working a shift at McDonald’s” or “serving customers” or anything close to it. That’s like saying Ben Stiller spent some time working in a coal mine…

But they did. A LOT. And it’s all in service of building the myth of Trump, hero of the working man instead of guy who craps in a golden toilet, “protector of women” instead of adjudicated rapist, secret fighter of underage sex trafficking rather than old pal of Jeffrey Epstein. The weird hero worship that’s less funny and more unnerving when you realize this guy is on the verge of winning the presidency again. The worship that leads to stuff like this…

One last funny thing about the video though?

Even if you took it at face value? Trump would be about the slowest damn new hire of all time! LOLz! Just watch as an earnest employee tells him over and over and over how do simple tasks, which the former President of the United States immediately abandons. The whole thing is just… How do we put this? Pathetic.

Oh, and btw? Trump does not care about McDonald’s workers in the slightest. He’s against raising the minimum wage. Heck, that’s why this McDonald’s agreed to shut down and lose a day’s business! The owner supports Trump because he’s also against raising the minimum wage. So yeah. Not lovin’ it.
