This is too perfect!
Donald Trump has had a wacky habit of using any ol’ song he wants on the campaign trail this year, all without permission. And musicians are getting really tired of it!
Thankfully, a few of them partnered up with John Oliver on Last Week Tonight to FINALLY do something about it!

On Sunday night’s episode on HBO, Oliver opened up the segment explaining how politicians have pretty much co-opted pop and rock music on the campaign trail, before giving way to an amazing group of artists singing a NEW song about the problem!
Led by Usher, the funny music video included riffs from Sheryl Crow, John Mellencamp, Cyndi Lauper, Josh Groban, and Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons — and it delivered a VERY clear message to politicians: stop using our songs!!!

Particularly good was Groban’s lyrical dig at Spotify, ICYMI:
“If I wanted to sing and not get paid, I’d be on Spotify.”
Zing!!
We just wonder if Trump will get the message… or perhaps, in an act of defiance, at his next campaign stop he’ll walk out to an Usher song!
Wouldn’t that be something!
