Cars 2 had been pushed back!
Yesterday afternoon, during an investors conference call, Disney’s Bob Iger announced that Pixar will delay the release of the much-anticipated sequel to Cars by six months.
Now, instead of being released on June 24, 2011, the flick will actually hit theaters in December 2011.
Normally, we would say this is a bad sign, having a flick pushed back like this. Then again, this is Pixar we are talking about and they never make a bad movie. Plus, the push could be for a number of wonderful marketing schemes, including banking on the holiday season and coinciding with that new Cars theme park they are building in Anaheim.
No need to fret! We’re sure it will be great!
