Chinese Vlogger Dies After Eating Poisonous Centipedes & Lizards On Livestream!

The vlogger passed away.

A Chinese vlogger passed away after eating poisonous centipedes and lizards, and drinking alcohol during a livestream.

According to Chinese reports, the 35-year-old — named only by his surname Sun — was found without vital signs at his residence in the Hefei, Aunhui province on Saturday when his girlfriend went to check on him.

The social media personality was featured on DouYu, one of China’s largest live streaming platforms.

Per Xinan Evening News, the man had 15,000 followers, and hosted shows every night.

During his program, Sun reportedly spun a wheel marked with different items including centipedes, geckos, mealworms, vinegar, eggs, beer, and baijiu — a clear distilled liquor.

The host would then eat or drink whatever item the wheel landed on.

Reportedly, Sun collapsed while his last stream — last Thursday at 7:53 p.m. — was still being broadcast.

When authorities found his unconscious body in his room, his computer was reportedly on livestream mode. They reportedly also found the food items used in his clips.

Police are reportedly investigating his cause of death, but have ruled out foul play.

His videos have been removed from the streaming service.

According to the South China Morning Post, there are at least 900 live streaming platforms and over 10 million active vloggers in China.

As we reported in March of this year, YouTube star Adam22 was held at gunpoint during a livestream.

The personality and his friends hosted a podcast at his bike shop, OnSomeS**t, in Los Angeles when a man busted into the room and immediately threatened the host with a gun. He was heard asking Adam if he “wants to die today.”

The internet figure then made some nervous sounds before scrambling away from the gunman. The rest mostly played out off screen, but it appeared someone in the background managed to subdue the gunman.

After a few minutes, Adam returned to his station and told the audience they are going to have to “come back soon.” He was then heard asking why the gunman did not shoot, saying the man was on the ground “out cold” after security reportedly knocked him out.

Thankfully, no one was injured.

According to a post from fellow YouTuber Keemstar, police were later called to the scene.

It is believed the gunman was later arrested, though it is unclear if Adam knew him, or if he was targeted for being a public persona.

So many tragic occurrences happening with live audiences lately. Our thoughts go out to Sun’s family and friends.
