Drew Barrymore Embraces Her Figure For Her Cover Of InStyle -- 'I Just Don't Have A Bikini Body'

Drew Barrymore
We just love her!
Drew Barrymore opened up about her body image and being a mom in InStyle‘s first-ever virtual reality cover experience. Fun fact: this is the 40-year-old’s eighth time gracing the front of the mag!

When it comes to her figure, she’s not afraid to have a sense of humor.
The mother of two shared:

“I am who I am and I just don’t have a bikini body. I don’t even have a one piece body anymore! But I am loving the long rash guard, board-shorts look.”

Well, we think she looks great — but we totally understand that comfort is key!
The E.T. star has been in the public eye nearly all of her life, so we can imagine that constant attention can get to you:

“I’ve beaten myself up about not being a certain thing. If someone says, ├óΓé¼╦£Let’s go to the beach today,’ my first thought is, ├óΓé¼╦£F├óΓé¼ΓÇ£├óΓé¼ΓÇ£, what am I going to wear?'”

Always the struggle, right???
The El Lay native added that she relates (or so she thought) to funny lady Amy Schumer:

“I remember when Amy Schumer was on Ellen, she called her midsection a ├óΓé¼╦£lava lamp.’ I thought, That was perfect! That’s what I’ve been trying to say. But then I saw her in Trainwreck, and she looked so good in a tiny bra and short skirt. I was like, ├óΓé¼╦£No, you don’t have a lava lamp.'”

For now, the 50 First Dates actress is less worried about her body and more concerned with being a positive role model for daughters Frankie, 18 months, and Olive, 3:

“I’m not going to pretend to my daughters that I’m pure as the driven snow├óΓé¼┬ª The best I can do is open up my heart to them. That’s soul-baring enough. Making bad decisions doesn’t make you a bad person. It is how you learn to make better choices.”

Her new book Wildflower — which Drew dubs “a love letter” to her little girls — she tries her best not to embarrass them… Something she knew all too well as a kid:

“My own mother, Jaid, wrote a book on sex, and it was the most mortifying feeling in the world. So I know how a child feels when their parents put themselves out there too much, and I will never do that to my daughters. There are some things about your parents you just don’t need to know.”

LOLz! Ain’t that the truth.
