Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said goodbye to his furry friend.
On Tuesday, the 52-year-old actor took to Instagram to announce that his beloved dog Hobbs, who he has had since 2016, had passed away this week. Oh no. As you can imagine, Dwayne is completely heartbroken over the loss. He even shared in an emotional caption about the devastating news that he has been “numb” ever since, writing:
“RIP
Hobbs I’ve been numb over this loss, but we’re so grateful for every ounce of pure love he gave our entire family and we’re so grateful he didn’t suffer long as he quietly and bravely left in the night.”

So sad. The Moana star continued:
“Lately, there’s been a lot that’s too big to talk about. Lonesome, lonely, heard it’s all the same. One of my favorite songs felt appropriate here, as I wonder what’s going on his new world, because I know what it’s like in mine. Not sure how spirits work but come back and visit every once in a while so we can get in trouble and laugh again.
“
Dwayne also shared several pictures and videos of him and Hobbs on the ‘gram, including an adorable black-and-white snap of the pup licking his face. Take a look at the tribute (below):
The doggo was clearly so loved and will be missed dearly. Our hearts go out to Dwayne and his family.
Rest in peace, Hobbs.
