Ebony Fashion Fair Returns

The Ebony Fashion Fair, a traveling fashion show that showcases haute couture on African American models in support of local charities, is returning to Tampa after canceling much of its tour earlier this year.

Now, the show will return February 12th in the Tampa Theatre to benefit Derrick Brooks Charities Auxiliary Youth Programs.

Tresa Boykin, publicity chair for Derrick Brooks Charities in Tampa, said, “We held onto hope it would come back. We’re glad they were able to revamp it. This was one of our biggest fundraisers for us.”

Founded in 1958, the show features 200 looks by a wide array of designers including Christian LaCroix, Oscar de la Renta, Vivienne Westwood, and Jean Paul Gaultier, and has grown to become the worlds largest traveling fashion show, raising over $55 million for charity.

Glad to hear it’s back!
