Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence are now officially in-laws!
During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Thursday, the Shrek star revealed his son Eric Murphy tied the knot with Martin’s daughter Jasmin Lawrence in May — just six months after they got engaged! According to Eddie, the two opted not to have a big wedding and instead went for an intimate church ceremony “two weeks ago.” And it was just the two of them! None of their family attended! The 64-year-old actor said:
“They went off, everybody was making the big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them. And they got married. Now, Martin don’t got to pay for a big wedding. We’re in-laws.”

Amazing! Although Eric and Jasmin “didn’t have a wedding,” they may have a big celebration later:
“They went off and they got married at the church. They just had the two of them and the preacher. They had a quiet little thing. So I think we’ll have a big party or something.”
When Jennifer Hudson asked Eddie if he would “sing” at the future wedding festivities, he shot it down at first, saying:
“No, I ain’t singing … Martin will sing at the wedding. Yeah, that’d be funny.”
However, he’s not opposed to a duet with Martin! He told the American Idol alum “maybe” for a collaboration! LOLz! Watch the interview (below):
