Eddie Redmayne is going from world’s smartest man to world’s smartest train in a Thomas The Tank Engine movie! (OK, Thomas isn’t doing calculus, but hey it’s a train that can talk!)
Eddie will be voicing a train called Ryan in the latest Thomas and Friends DVD called Sodor’s Legend Of The Lost Treasure.

And Eddie, just like us, has been watching Thomas the Tank Engine since he was a youngster!
Here’s what the actor said about his upcoming movie:
“I grew up loving to watch Thomas and his pals getting caught up in unexpected and mischievous adventures. I jumped at the opportunity to get involved and what fun it was. I have never voiced an animated character before, and I had a complete blast.”
It was a blast for more than just Eddie; the film will also feature the vocal performances of John Hurt and Jamie Campbell-Bower!
Sodor’s Legend Of The Lost Treasure is due on DVD in September 2015!
