Eddie Redmayne may be an Oscar winning actor, but that doesn’t mean he’s guaranteed entrance into Rihanna‘s Met Gala after party. Sadly, The Danish Girl star had to learn this fact the hard way.
On Monday evening, the 35-year-old and his wife Hannah Bagshawe attended the celebrated fashion event and as the gala concluded the twosome made their way towards RiRi’s event at New York’s 1Oak nightclub. However, just as soon as Mr. and Mrs. Redmayne arrived at the hotspot, they were reportedly turned away. How embarrassing!

It’s said Eddie was not pleased about being turned away as he was seen furiously chatting on the phone after speaking with bouncers alongside his wife. Hannah made a second attempt at getting into the party as she re-approached the door with pal Tom Sturridge. Unfortunately, this plan did not work as they too were turned away by the doorman. *Sigh*
The friends seemed to have accepted their fate as they were seen sauntering off into the night — hopefully to a DIFFERENT after party. Better luck next year, kids!
