The weather outside may not be frightful, but that isn’t stopping Disney and Barneys from releasing new info on this year’s in the fashion world, and, as previously holiday windows!
The retailer├óΓé¼Γäós holiday campaign, Electric Holiday, is a nod to Disney’s infamous electric parade and will be unveiled for all to see November 14th at the Fifth Avenue Flagship in New York City.
The iconic display windows feature a 3D electric light show, original tunes by Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino, and a moving art short film about Minnie Mouse’s Paris fashion show dreams!
In the film, several classic characters will be “dressed” by the biggest names in fashion:
Minnie – Alber Elbaz for Lanvin
Mickey– Nicolas Ghesqui├â┬¿re for Balenciaga
Goofy – Olivier Rousteing for Balmain
Daisy – Dolce & Gabbana
Cruella de Vil – Rick Owens
Princess Tiana – Proenza Schouler
Snow White – Peter Copping for Nina Ricci
In conjunction with the display, Barneys will sell limited-edition holiday items like Paul Smith and Diane von Furstenberg designed Vinylmation figures, rag & bone and L’Wren Scott designed Mickey Mouse ears and other small gifts with 25% the proceeds going to charity.
Disney during the holidays is already magical, but when they’re teamed up with Barneys it sounds like the best thing ever!
