These campaigns get more inneresting by the minute!
Lanvin has rolled out their fall ads, but instead of hiring the usual gaggle of supermodels they street cast REAL everyday people to strike a pose for Steven Meisel‘s camera.
Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz explained:

“I was interested to bring these clothes back to the street somehow, and seeing how they look on different ages, different sizes. It felt like a crazy family, and I like that.”

While the names of the models weren’t officially released, they are starting to pop up online.
For example the “model” posing with the dog is blogger Stella Rose and the girl in red is Elite model Rachel Trachtenburg.
The fiercest lady in the whole campaign is 80 year old Jacquie “Tajah” Murdock (first ad), who was once a showgirl at the Apollo. She called Elbaz her Fairy Godmother because she always dreamed of modeling in Paris.
AWWW! Alber Elbaz, making dreams come true since 2012!
The ads are due to drop in September, and we can hardly wait to see who else Lanvin pluck from the streets to show off their wares.
