It’s been a long journey, but Elizabeth Banks is finally a mommy!
The actress and her college-sweetheart-turned-husband Max Handelman have always wanted a family. Now, at 38 the 30 Rock star has her first child, son Felix, thanks the surrogacy.
In a recent interview Banks shares some very personal information about her struggle to have a child, admitting:
“It was a womb issue for me. Embryos wouldn’t implant.”
The Hunger Games actress and her husband had all the right ingreants to make a baby, they just needed to use a different oven.
She describes having her child be carried by another woman as a little scary. Elizabeth says:
“It’s a big leap, inviting this person into your life to do this amazing, important thing for you. And it’s hard losing that kind of control. But our surrogate is so extraordinary, and she’s still in our lives. She’s like an auntie.”
AW!
It warms our hearts to hear that everything worked out well for her!
Though, we are HUGE supporters of adoption, it’s good that those gorgeous Banks genes have been passed on!
