Elizabeth Berkley Breaks Down During DWTS Rehearsals! Says Showgirls Was A Risk!

This week on DWTS, Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy earned the first perfect score of the season with a super sexy cha cha!

However, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows as the veteran actress got a bit emotional during rehearsals!

Elizabeth said the steamy moves reminded her of when she starred in Showgirls back in 1995, and while she knew the movie was a creative risk, she had no idea of the backlash that was going to come with it!

She says:

“With that time came a lot of doors that slammed in my face, where it was very frustrating not being able to perform for people and to dance for people, and it was painful. It hurt.”

While she couldn’t fight the tears back in rehearsals, Val said their routine was all about empowerment, and that CERTAINLY came through on the dance floor!

Elizabeth has come a LONG way since Showgirls, and she has SOOO much to be proud of!

Not only is she one of the strongest contestants on DWTS, but she has a beautiful family that she gets to go home to everyday!
