At least Ellen is still hopeful!
Now that Donald Trump is our President-elect, we just have to accept the awful, potentially apocalyptic truth and move on — and thankfully Ellen DeGeneres is here to help.
Even though the Finding Dory star filmed her Wednesday show on Tuesday, she taped a monologue that PERFECTLY prepared for a grim outcome by sharing a positive message!

While the results are obviously depressing as F*CK, DeGeneres took the opportunity to spread some love by talking about how similar we all are! The comedienne used HIGHlarious scenarios to point out how we’re more alike than we think, before taking a hopeful stance by saying:
“We need to have the kindness and respect for one another. Here’s where I make the exception: the people that leave the shopping carts in the middle of your parking spot. Out of the country. Kick them out of the country. Bring the shopping cart back!”
