If there’s anyone we didn’t expect to get in trouble for breaking the rules, it’s Hermione Granger.
But it looks like Emma Watson is under investigation for breaking the UK’s immigration laws!
Apparently the Harry Potter hired an American housekeeper to help look after her NYC apartment. But when Emma returned to London for three months, the housekeeper went with her.
Border Agency officials reportedly questioned Emma’s employee after a complaint was filed.
See, as an American citizen with only a tourist visa, the housekeeper was not allowed to be employed while visiting the UK.
So if she WAS still on Emma’s payroll, as officials suspect, the actress could be liable for a fine of up to ├é┬ú10,000! (That’s over $17,000!)
