Later that day, Erika Chavolla — one of the Las Vegas staffers seen in the viral clip — did an interview on Facebook (SEE HERE) where she gives her side of the story.
The fast food employee — who is still employed by the chain — said of the fight:

“You know, it gets crazy… Just people think ’cause you’re working, you’re supposed to… you know, I held it up… she was talking a lot of smack for a long time.”

Despite the shit talking, Chavolla initially planned on NOT attacking the patron, who in July said she was a “stripper” on Instagram.

“I wasn’t even going to hit her, but I get it, that’s a big girl coming towards you… You’re going to panic and you’re going to freak out.”

The interview also included Chavolla’s boyfriend, who is seen in the video trying to calm his girlfriend down. As to why he didn’t intervene:

“I was not trying to stop it… You don’t stop a big woman like that.”

In regards to her viral fame, Chavolla replied:

“That shit was crazy… It went everywhere.”

According to The Post on Friday, Laura Meltzer — a spokeswoman for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department — confirmed that Fontelar was issued a citation for misdemeanor battery and will need to appear in court at a later date.
Fontelar claimed on social media that the fight started after McDonald’s workers “didn’t want to take” her money for a soda after she asked for a free water cup.
However, a witness said the melee happened after Fontelar reportedly couldn’t afford to pay for a soda.
