No, seriously. Do not plan on seeing Eva Mendes on the big screen anytime soon!
As Perezcious readers know, the 50-year-old actress fell in love with Ryan Gosling while working on their 2012 film, The Place Beyond The Pines. When they became parents to daughters Esmeralda and Amada, her acting career came to a halt. The couple had “a nonverbal agreement” that he would continue acting while she stayed at home with their children and worked on other business ventures. Since then, she has done just that.

But with her girls getting older, does Eva want to return to her acting career? She is a bit hesitant. Unless there are “interesting roles” that come her way, it does not sound likely! Ugh! During an interview with Good Morning America’s George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday, the Hitch star said:
“I don’t know [when I’ll return]. If there’s interesting roles. I left at a time where… It was ten years ago… I kind of felt like I did it, you know?”
Eva felt her project with Ryan was such a career “high” for her she could not imagine finding something that could top it:
“I was like, ‘I just worked with Ryan Gosling, who is the best.’ It was such a high of my career to work with him and what we created together that I was like, ‘This is a good time to Seinfeld it and just walk out.’ So who knows?”
Well, we hope to see her back in films again one day! Perhaps Eva and Ryan can star in another film in the future! Watch the interview (below):
