Ty Pennington took his top-rated makeover show across the waters to Great Britain recently to film a special edition of the show called Ty’s Great British Adventure.
Catchy.
When he got there, he soon learned that he wouldn’t have the motivated team he is to used in the States. In fact, when he arrived in the English seaside town of Portreath to revamp an abandoned park, he found his workers more of a challenge than the task itself. He says: “The British are so polite, they are afraid of ruffling each other’s feathers. They had to take the time to discuss it properly. That was one of the biggest challenges — to get everyone to agree on what we were going to do and then convincing them they could do it.”
Ty supposedly wasn’t a big hit with the people of the small town either as he tried to push them to finish the project within their limited 1 week schedule. We can imagine how he went over, with all the screaming and the megaphone, with the timid, simple people of the town.
Perhaps they thought that he was going to come and do the work for them. Ha!
He’s paid to look like he works now, not actually do anything!
