Here’s one way to raise awareness during the world AIDS conference in Vienna.
Several sex workers got together and put on a fashion show on Wednesday. The collection featured bright colors with several condoms in wrappers cleverly placed.
The design was by Brazilian label Daspu which was started back in 2005 by a former prostitute who now fights for defending workers’ rights.
Friederike Strack of Davida, an association working Daspu, adds that for prostitutes:
├óΓé¼┼ôAIDS prevention is an instrument for working. It’s important that the sex professionnals, the sex workers, know how to use condoms, and they are the best to make HIV prevention: they have contact with the clients.├óΓé¼┬¥
Actually, it’s important for everyone to practice safe sex.
