We’d like to report a robbery.
That’s because news came out on Tuesday that Felicity Jones had landed the lead role in the upcoming standalone Star Wars movie.
You see, while we’re happy for the Theory of Everything actress (seriously!), initial reports indicated that Tatiana Maslany had actually scored the coveted spot, which we were SO EXCITED to hear.
However, it seems as though there’s been a change, and now Felicity has beaten out Tatiana, as well as Rooney Mara, for the project.

While Felicity has been nominated for an Oscar, we feel like Tatiana’s Emmy-deserving work on the science-fiction-friendly Orphan Black would make her the more ideal person for the part.
