Just days before the vote on who will host the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, three senior officials were accused by the European Media of accepting secret payments.
The report accuses three officials, Ricardo Teixeira of Brazil, Nicolas Leoz of Paraguay, and Issa Hayatou of Cameroon of receiving kick-backs from sales. Teixeira reportedly received $9.5 million when organizing the 2014 World Cup. Leoz, the South American soccer confederation president, reportedly got $600,000. The list goes on.
This is disgraceful!! Action needs to be taken before this gets even more out of hand — this kind of corruption ruins sports!!
