Fans have been worried about the unexpected Fifty Shades of Grey casting choices, but there might be nothing to worry about. Well, other than if you have a fear of ball gags!
Charlie Hunnam recently opened up about how he got the sexalicious role of the kinky billionaire, and we like what we’re hearing!
Charlie said:
“I met with [director] Sam Taylor-Johnson a couple of times. She’d asked to meet me and we talked at length about the role, the movie and what her intention was … We kind of both suggested I do a reading with Dakota [Johnson], who was her favorite, and as soon as we got in the room and I started reading with Dakota I knew that I definitely wanted to do it. There’s just like a tangible chemistry between us. It felt exciting and fun and weird and compelling.”
Oh, baby! We are certainly compelled after hearing that juicy bit!
But what about his lovely lady we told you about? If WE heard that, we’d be tying our man up to the bed for the rest of his life!
Well, it sounds like he’s not worried she’ll be doing that…unless for fun times, we suppose. He said:
“[S]he was a part of the decision-making process … She’s required to share parts of me that she wouldn’t really want to share so of course with the nature of this role that’s going to be times ten. So it was a decision we made together but you know, she loved the books, she read them and loved them and she was really excited at the potential of this opportunity for me and if anything I think it will bring us closer.”
Closer? As in she’ll be handcuffed to Charlie during every moment when he isn’t filming?
Yeah, we totes agree with that! LOLz!
