50 Shades Of Grey Might’ve Lost Charlie Hunnam Because He Didn’t Want To Be A Joke!
Ummm, did he not realize how many women would love him for making this film?!
Universal Pictures claimed that his busy schedule wouldn’t allow for him to
tie up and spank his lady friend complete the role, but we’ve got to admit we were a little suspicious because they knew about his Sons of Anarchy commitment when he was cast.
Now, a possible REAL explanation for his S&M sayonara is coming out as an insider has explained:
“Charlie got cold feet. He wanted to get out of the movie because he was feeling like it would be his version of Showgirls and he didn├óΓé¼Γäót want to be remembered for that. Nor is Charlie ready for the celebrity he would receive if the movie worked out. Add that with the studio execs being highly disappointed by the reaction to the casting, they wanted to start over with a clean slate.”
Showgirls?! But that’s a classic!
We don’t know why everyone was so anti-Charlie as Christian, but we were on board! Well, unless Ian Somerhalder wanted the gig.
Who knows…maybe Ian isn’t afraid of the fame or becoming a Showgirls-like legend because that is one replacement we think the fans will react well to!
