While most politicians who were running for election this week were busy on Election Day campaigning and hoping to win, Florida councilwoman Sherri Myers spent the day with her dog.
Apparently Myers didn’t think she had a chance of winning Pensacola’s District 2 race, so she decided to take Election Day off and spend it with her pooch who sadly is suffering from throat cancer and not expected to live much longer.
Myers turned off her cellphone and spent the day on a day trip to Alabama with her ailing dog.
Wednesday morning the 68-year-old attorney found out she narrowly defeated her opponent.
Sounds like she had a wonderful day at least.
