Fox And Telemundo Break Out The Check Book For World Cup Rights

Quick, how much do you think Fox and Telemundo paid to have the rights and Spanish language rights for the 2018 and 2022 World Cup?
If you said anything other than a BILLION dollars, you’re wrong.
Fox shelled out $425 million, Telemundo paid $600 million.
But not only does Fox get the World Cup, it gets everything including, “all FIFA events from 2015-2022. That includes the women├óΓé¼Γäós World Cup, as well as the under-20 and under-17 national team competitions.”
Our question is — is it worth it?
For Fox and Telemundo it had better be — can’t be going around blowing that kind of cash!
