Good thing cats have nine lives!
A motorized in Elyria, Ohio named Dara Taylor was driving along when she saw a frozen block of ice along the road. Something which she wouldn’t of thought twice about until she saw the block move!
It was then that she realized the block of ice was actually a kitten totally frozen.
But, what could’ve been another sad story turned into an awesome one when she freed the cat from the road and brought it to the Friendship Animal Protective League. The folks over there saved the poor thing which, before it arrived, couldn’t even open its eyes.
Here’s what the rescuer said:
“I thought it was a chunk of ice in the middle of the road. When I got closer, it moved. That freaked me out. As I got out of the car, I could hear him meowing so loudly and pitifully and his little heart was beating so fast.”
The kitten is believed to have been about 4-5 months old, and is expected to make a full recovery.
The organization later tweeted:
