You might’ve noticed that your Facebook news feed is flooded with pictures of same-sex couples sharing some love. Here’s why:
Facebook forcibly removed a photo today of two men kissing from a page protesting a London pub├óΓé¼Γäós decision to eject a same-sex couple for kissing. A “gay kiss-in” demonstration has been organized and is being promoted on Dangerous Minds Facebook page, which posted the picture of the two men in lip-lock as the events visual.
However, the photo was taken down by the site and an email was shot off to administrators of the Facebook page, saying:
“Shares that contain nudity, or any kind of graphic or sexually suggestive content, are not permitted on Facebook.”
Thus, in the last few hours, Facebook has been feeling the wrath of the gay community outraged by their ignorance. Tons of people have now taken to their walls and statuses to post their own pictures of same-sex couples kissing in protest…and we encourage you to do the same!
