Gigi Hadid & Tyler Cameron 'Trying to Navigate' Dating In The Spotlight - Tensions Rising?

We know it might seem like things between Gigi Hadid and Tyler Cameron have been heating up at alarming rate, but apparently this isn’t the case!

Despite several headline-making dates around New York City and recently being photographed together at a funeral for Hadid’s grandmother, sources close to the couple say they’re “still getting to know each other and have fun.”

According to a People source, the supermodel and former Bachelorette star are figuring out how to navigate their relationship in the spotlight.

“The media attention has been hard on Tyler and Gigi. They’re trying to navigate it right now because they know how the press can pick apart every date they have and turn it into something bigger.”

Okay. In our defense, the pair’s casual dinner date with Serena Williams was impossible to ignore.

Plus, Gigi brought Tyler with her to the Netherlands, making sure he was by her side during a moment of mourning. The move felt like such a big step for the new couple, and Cameron certainly seems like boyfriend material to us!

Still, the insider insists “they don’t want that pressure to push them further than where they are.”

A source close to the Florida contractor said he simply wanted to be there for Hadid, adding:

“Tyler said they’ve really connected. He’s a really nice guy and Gigi sees that in him. He was glad to be by her side at her grandmother’s funeral — that meant a lot to him.”

Well, we’re glad these two are doing what they can to maintain perspective and take things slowly. But, we can almost assure the media won’t stop talking about them or making assumptions!

It’s almost like we’re playing right into their hands, as a different People source said the lovebirds are “being purposefully coy,” when it comes to the status of their relationship. “Their dates are definitely real and he’s having a good time,” added the insider.

Speaking of a good time, Hadid and Cameron have both been making their rounds on the New York Fashion Week circuit. However, they opted to ride solo for several events!

They were photographed separately on the red carpet at the Zendaya x Tommy Hilfiger fashion show, and the ABC hunk was spotted sans a plus one at The Daily Front Row Fashion Media Awards, OK! Magazine’s NYFW party, and Sprayground’s runway show.

The Bachelor Nation star is reportedly well aware of what some people might think about him being attached to his published model bae all the time, as Tyler wants to try to maintain his own self-image:

“Tyler’s new to New York City, and exploring business opportunities. He’s taking advantage of his new fame, but he doesn’t want to come off as an opportunist with Gigi.”

Although the 26-year-old has landed modeling gigs since appearing on reality TV, he isn’t using his girlfriend’s platform or fashion industry connections to grow his own career.

“He doesn’t discuss business with her. Tyler respects that she’s ‘The Gigi Hadid‘ and knows that her career is important to her. He doesn’t want to jeopardize their relationship at all.”

This is the same guy who went from respectful runner-up to a bonafide star, rubbing elbows with the likes of Taylor Swift in less than a few months after being dumped on national television. We have no doubt he’ll continue to play his cards right!
