On Tuesday, Variety confirmed that the end is not-so-near for Girls, revealing that the popular program will be finished after its sixth season.
While HBO has kept quiet regarding the wrapping rumors, sources say the network will announce the sad news on Thursday during the Television Critics Association press tour.

Now, we can’t say we’re super surprised at this news, since the show’s creator-slash-star, Lena Dunham, has said in the past that she thinks American series tend to last longer than they should.
Plus, rumors have been circling that HBO’s president, Michael Lombardo, has previously talked with the 29-year-old about only having six seasons of the dramedy.
But luckily for us, Girls won’t be ending anytime soon. The fifth season doesn’t even premiere until the end of February, so we have plenty of time to prepare our heartfelt goodbyes.
