Once again, Adam Carolla has made homophobic comments he can’t take back. Shame.
On one of his recent podcasts, Adam decided it was time for him to lash out at the gay community again, veiling his dislike of homosexuals with his supposed “humor.” He started off by telling LGBT to “shut up” about equality because apparently, the mission to grant equal rights to everyone is “ruining his life.” He then insensitively added that the LGBT community should consider using a different acronym – his suggestion was “YUCK” – and when referring to transgender people, he stated: ├óΓé¼┼ôWhen did we start giving a sh*t about these people?├óΓé¼┬¥
First of all, the only thing that is yuck around here is your blatant disregard for the feelings of others. Second of all, people with good hearts and open minds have always given a sh*t about other people who are constantly torn down by the ignorance of people like you. And lastly … actually, we’re going to let GLAAD speak for us at this point. They’ve said it better in their statement against Adam better than we can:
“Given his history of anti-gay and racist comments, networks and advertisers should know what their money is supporting if they choose to hire Adam Carolla. The gross intolerance that he tries to pass off as comedy should not have a place on our airwaves.”
We second that!
Who is he to pass that kind of hatred onto other people. We’re disgusted, appalled … and he should be too.
