Glen Powell is in the right place at the right time.
The Top Gun: Maverick star appeared on Wednesday’s episode of TODAY with Jenna and Friends… And totally gushed about Sydney Sweeney! While sitting down with Jenna Bush Hager and Olivia Munn, they asked about his sister Leslie Powell’s headline-making wedding over the weekend, which brought him back together with his Anyone But You co-star. Jenna asked if it surprised him how much of a “stir” the nuptials caused surrounding his… friendship… with the Euphoria star, and he bashfully responded:
“You know, timing is everything in this world, isn’t it?”
Ummm, WHAT?!?! Is he saying what we THINK he’s saying?!

As we know, Sydney recently called off her wedding to fiancé Jonathan Davino after previously postponing it… And on Monday, Us Weekly reported she fully ended things for good. Meaning she’s once again SINGLE! The same weekend she reunited with Glen! Like he said, timing really is everything… So is he implying he’s taking the opportunity to swoop Sydney up?!
He’s totally implying the timing is RIGHT, right? Like it wasn’t before back on the set of Anyone But You… since they were both seeing other people at that time? But it is now?? Damn, we could read between that single line all day!
The host changed the subject though, joking that Glen’s sister Leslie was probably like, “Dude, I’m getting married. I’m the bride” amid all the attention that he and Sydney got, and he responded:
“[Leslie] and Syd are obviously great friends and it was a hell of a wedding. The Powells know how to do it right and so all the people that love her were there.”
He went on to describe the ceremony as “fun” and “rowdy,” adding, “The Powells know how to crank it up.” Watch (below):
This could have been his opportunity to silence all the speculation surrounding him and Sydney… But he didn’t. That’s saying a LOT in and of itself!
