The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network decided on two fabulous co-chairs for their upcoming GLSEN Respect Awards, and we absolutely love their picks!!!

Django Unchained‘s Kerry Washington and pro-soccer player Robbie Rogers have been selected to share the stage together in October to celebrate “exemplary role models” in the LGBT community over the past year!!!

The 36-year-old Emmy-nominated Scandal starlet is extremely proud of her involvement with the award gala.

In a statement Kerry said:

├óΓé¼┼ôGLSEN is on the front lines of keeping kids safe from bullying in our schools. That├óΓé¼Γäós absolutely a cause that I support and believe in.”

Robbie is a sensational soccer player who excels at kicking around balls on the field, but as one of the first openly gay pro athletes in the world, the El Lay Galaxy star is also a major role model!

He’s excited to be part of the mix, too. He recently tweeted:
