Going To The Supreme Court!

The U.S. government is asking the Supreme Court to review Miss Nasty‘s epic wardrobe malfunction of 2004 and reimpose the half million dollars fined to CBS.
The Supreme Court may or may not consider the request.
As y’all recall Justin Timberlake somehow “accidentally” exposed one of Janet Jackson’s boobies on live television during the Superbowl half-time show, resulting in a big fuss. We were more weirded out by her nipple jewelry!
The FCC shook its fist and slapped CBS with a $550,000 fine. But, after 3 years embroiled in legal bickering, a federal court ruled that the network could not be held accountable for a dumb publicity student. Or accident. Whatever you wanna call it.
Semantics!
The government is now asking the Supreme Court to consider “whether the court of appeals erred in holding that the federal communications commission acted arbitrarily and capriciously (…) in determining that the most widely viewed broadcast public nudity in television history fell within the federal prohibitions on broadcast indecency.”
Really? 4 years later?
They must be bored.
