His portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything was legitimately EVERYTHING — and the Hollywood Foreign Press thought so too.
In order to take the honor, Eddie had to beat out Steve Carell in Foxcatcher, Benedict Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game, Jake Gyllenhaal in Nightcrawler, and David Oyelowo in Selma.
Stiff competition!!
