It may not be smart to bring a pair of Google Glass into a movie theater, but this poor guy did not deserve the treatment being given to him!
A Google Glass Explorer was ejected from his local AMC theater in Easton Mall in Columbus, Ohio after a federal agent snatched the glasses from his face and removed him from the theater!
This is so rude, a simple, ‘Sir, please step outside’ would suffice! Poor guy!
The man was then roughly badgered and questioned for three hours by the authorities under the suspicion that he was recording the film with his digital eyewear!
Apparently, the innocent movie goer said he has worn Google Glass to the same theaters before but has never been reprimanded by authorities for it!
The Google Glass user, who wanted to remain anonymous, said:
After I got my prescription lens for Glass, I wore Google Glass exclusively, including at the movies. As the prior couple of times there was no issue with me wearing glass at the very same movie theater, I didn’t even think about wearing my old pair of glasses to the movie, and I didn’t have my old glasses with me.
I always carry an ”emergency pair” in my car, but the car was in the parking lot. So the short answer is no, I didn’t consider wearing regular glasses.
Maybe next time he’ll put on those emergency pair glasswear on, just in case! There’s no need for another round of roughhousing over expensive eye glasses!
The man was given a pair of movie tickets by a Movie Association representative for his troubles, but we’re not sure a free movie would help us get over the incident!
What do U think, Perezcous readers? Were the authorities too hard on the man?
