From Gossip Girl To Shakespeare! Ed Westwick Joins New Romeo & Juliet Movie!

Look at you maturing as an actor, Mr. Westwick!

Back in January, we heard that Gossip Girl & S. Darko star Ed Westwick had signed on for a role in Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar. Now, he’s getting his Shakespeare on in Romeo & Juliet!

As we already know, True Grit’s Hailee Steinfeld will play Juliet, and now Westwick has been cast as Tybalt in Carlo Carlie’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s immortal tale.

We’ve also learned that Holly Hunter has been cast as The Nurse, but still no word on who will play Romeo this time around.

We suppose Leonardo DiCaprio is a bit too old for the part now, huh? LOLz.
