Are the days of the Grammys numbered?
If the televised ceremony can’t get the biggest names in music to attend, what chance do they have??
In previous years, Justin Bieber and Drake have both elected to skip out on the show because in their view it didn’t accurately represent what’s going on in music.
But this year, the sheer number of A-listers not attending is STAGGERING.

Justin Timberlake has reportedly already RSVPed a firm “no” ostensibly because he’s too busy preparing for his Super Bowl performance. But he supposedly hasn’t been on the best terms with the Recording Academy since they failed to show The 20/20 Experience as much love as he felt it deserved.
Now Hits Daily Double is claiming to know more artists who will not be in attendance — and some sketchy reasons why!
First, insiders say Taylor Swift won’t be shaking it off in the audience this year at least because Look What You Made Me Do was completely shut out (though Reputation was ineligible due to its release date, the lead song could have gotten a nod for single or music video).

Next, Lorde wasn’t invited to perform at the ceremony despite being the only woman nominated for Album of the Year — and HDD is hearing her team is PISSED. So she’s just going to stay home.
Considering she TOTALLY deserves her slot, we can’t say we blame her.
Finally, and perhaps the most controversially, Ed Sheeran is reportedly more upset than he lets on that he was snubbed in the top categories — and why. Rumor is the Academy was worried about a #GrammysSoWhite backlash if the ginger Brit won. Damn.
Will the award show lure the big names back somehow? Or just focus on those who do want to come??
