Someone must have forgotten to feed the Gremlins remake after midnight, because it looks like it is not going to become a movie after all!
The planned reboot that screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith says would have acknowledged the original movies is dead in the water — or wait, the sunlight!

Seth says he, Steven Spielberg, and Chris Columbus, who produced and wrote the original film, are just too busy to make it right now.
Seth said:
“I think we just ran out of steam. It’s one of those things where everybody got busy doing other things. It’s something I would love to come back to, but right now Steven’s making two movies back to back and Chris Columbus is busy. We’re all taking a five-minute break on that.”
We guess that gives Seth more time to work on that Beetlejuice sequel instead.
Or, you know, they could write a new movie. Just for fun, to see how it goes. LOLz!
