Groupon users, listen up!
Not only can you potentially be getting part of that $8.5 million pie, but you can start getting your vouchers for those expired Groupons!
The company still denies the allegations in the suit, though, for some reason, even though the main allegation in the suit was that the expiration dates on the coupons violated laws such as the federal Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act.
That law means that if a gift card expires within 5 years, it can’t be sold.
This settlement covers customers who received Groupon vouchers between November 2008 and December 1, 2011, and the customers can redeem vouchers passed their expiration dates or recover their money from the $8.5 million settlement fund!
