We doubt we need to refresh your memory, but just in case — Princess Di’s life was taken away from us when aggressive photogs chased her car down a Parisian road tunnel.
And Gabriel’s attorney is using that as argument to keep their daughter, Nahla, in the states with Gabriel.
But not so fast! France now has super strict laws against the paparazzi (which is why A-list celebrities like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Johnny Depp love it so much). Halle’s attorney got a number of French lawyers to testify in her defense, insisting how the laws are never taken lightly.
Basically.. the paps are constantly discouraged in France. So the chance of Halle succumbing to a Princess Di fate is actually lower there now than it is in Hollywood.
Ugh… we can’t believe they even used that angle!! Awful!!
