Give. Us. A. BREAK!
While we’re all about health and moderation, we’ll defend Halloween as a major treat for kids during the year, because we really do feel like it’s an integral part of childhood!
You know what’s not an integral part of childhood? Having some lady give you a letter after she deems you to be fat, so you can give it to your parents, urging them to limit your candy intake.
To the woman from North Dakota who is doing just that to innocent kids, we have to ask: WHO HURT YOU, LADY??
Talk about a buzzkill!
While childhood obesity IS a problem, it’s not Halloween’s fault — it’s all the rest of the year filled with inactive days and unhealthy foods. Using the ONE time a year where it’s proper to let kids just be kids for the fun of it to push your agenda is pretty low!
In a neighborhood of Fargo, this unidentified woman will continue to not hand out candy to every kid, but instead pick and choose which ones are worthy of her treat. It’s like she doesn’t know how psychologically damaging it could be to the kids receiving the judgment and letter by surprise.
If she has such a big problem, she should just not give out any candy!
You can read the full letter below, but here’s a little taste:
“You (sic) child is, in my opinion, moderately obese and should not be consuming sugar and treats to the extent of some children this Halloween season.”
Fun times in Fargo!!
This lady isn’t helping a single kid, and will probably get TP’d so hard! (Which we don’t condone, but seriously LOLz!!)
