Halsey Fuels Evan Peters Break Up Rumors After Confirming She's Quarantining Alone

Looks like Halsey told Evan Peters he’d have to quarantine Without Me. Lolz!

Breakup rumors have been swirling around the couple for some time now. All seemed well back in January when the Manic singer wished her beau a public, PDA-filled happy birthday on Instagram… but that pic, and all other photos of Peters, have since been deleted.

Adding fuel to the fire was a suggestive IG interaction between the pop star and her ex-boyfriend Yungblud. Halsey posted a pic of her first “#YorkshireCertified” Sunday dinner — and the Yorkshire-born artist reposted with the caption, “can confirm”.

Now, the 25-year-old has increased speculation by confirming that she’s quarantining alone. In a chat with Radio Disney, she let slip:

“The day that I got home [from Europe] is when we all started staying inside. It was a little bit of a whirlwind at first because I went from traveling and being in a new country every day, a new city. … I was with tens of thousands of people every night to all of a sudden [being] in my house, all alone without all of the chaos and noise. Mostly, I’ve just been spending time with my dog and doing a lot of cooking.”

This certainly seems like the nail in the coffin, since last we heard the couple was supposedly living together. Of course, we know some couples are quarantining separately but are still technically “together.” But combined with all the other evidence, we think it’s safe to call this one a true break up.

Now that she’s apparently single and stuck at home, Halsey is looking for ways to fill the time just like the rest of us. After postponing her summer tour, she continued a streak of creative cosplaying by embodying Ariel for the Disney Family Singalong on Sunday. (She sang Part of Your World, of course.)

It seems like quarantine has also been a good time for contemplation. The openly bisexual performer posted a series of tweets on Monday reflecting on a common experience for LGBTQ+ individuals:

“Crazy how you think you just “come out” and then that’s it. It’s done. You’re out + everything is all good. When in actuality you’re coming out time and time again for your whole life. I remind others of this often when they come to me for advice. but it’s easy to forget, myself.

When heterosexuality is socially perceived as a “default”, you find yourself correcting people and reminding those who have still internalized this “default”.

I know this isn’t an epiphany, and it seems simple and reductive if you’re reading this on a good day. But it’s an experience that always seems to throw me off balance and make my brain go ????? and I just felt like tweeting about it.”
