It turns out Perrie Edwards was not the only member of Little Mix who dated someone from One Direction!
During an episode of The Louis Theroux Podcast, Jade Thirlwall revealed she once went on a date with Harry Styles! WHAT! As you may know, they both auditioned for The X Factor UK in 2010. Sadly, the Midnight Cowboy singer did not make it that year. However, Harry did! He was put into One Direction with Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson. Even though Jade didn’t make the cut, she remained in contact with Harry, and a romance started brewing! She said:
“We went on one date when we were like 16 or something. He had just been put in a band and it was really funny because we kept in touch.”

The second Harry and the guys moved on to the live shows, though? He “ghosted” her! Ugh, Harry! Jade recalled:
“And then the minute they went on live shows he didn’t message me back. I thought, ‘That’s it now. He’s gone, he’s made it.’”
Well, he wasn’t the only one who “made it.” The following year, Jade auditioned again, got in, and joined a girl group with Perrie, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jesy Nelson. They became the first girl group to win the show. But before then, One Direction came on X Factor to perform, and she ran into Harry again backstage. Awkward! She continued:
“I saw him in a room after and he was like, ‘I’m really sorry that I ignored you.’”
Host Louis Theroux then replied:
“He ghosted you.”
Ouch! Thankfully, there are no hard feelings! The Fantasy artist said:
“Yes. Again, I was so young it didn’t really matter. He was always very, very lovely.”
